Rod did a fab job of looking after my 4 cats while I was on holiday. The cats were certainly much calmer on our return than if they'd been at the cattery as they could stay in their own home and
sleep on their own beds. I would fully recommend this service. -
A couple of weeks ago my brother got married in Devon. We live in North Yorkshire and were completely at a loss as to what we were going to do with our dogs. Our party had three rescue staffies with
us, including one who is generally very anxious. I am so grateful that we found Ann and Rod. When we arrived in Devon Ann and Rod both came over to meet us and the dogs. They totally understood how
worried I was leaving my dogs with someone I'd never met before and I felt incredibly reassured. They are both knowledgable with a warm and calm approach, and the dogs took to them instantly. On the
day of the wedding Ann arrived in plenty of time and took the dogs out of the way whilst we were all getting ready to leave. Over the next few hours Ann took the dogs on a few short walks, the dogs
are all older so little and often was perfect for them. Gracie (the anxious dog) was very stressed and wouldn't eat her tea so Ann hand fed her and also gave her a gentle massage to help relax her.
This shows how much Ann cares. I would not hesitate to use Ann and Rod's services again and wholeheartedly recommend them. If you are visiting Devon and need someone to care for your dogs then you
don't need to look any further, it's Ann and Rod you need :) -
We just had our daughter's wedding at 'tunnels' ilfracombe'.while we were there Ann the lovely dog sitter came to our holiday house and looked after our three dogs,2 Labradors and an Irish red
setter.the dogs had 3 lovely walks,and Ann very kindly delivered one of the dogs to the venue for photos! they all seemed well looked after and very contented when we returned. Can't thank Ann enough
as it was lovely to relax and enjoy the day knowing that our dogs were in safe hands.We would definitely recommend Ann and happily ask her again any time. -
Rod & Ann..... Life savers! Lovely people! Amazing with dogs, friendly!
I called these life savers when my holiday booking suddenly mentioned not really a dog friendly place ( after we had paid ofcourse) due to their busy schedule initially they said they may not be able
to help and spent alot of time helping find other people to help, which is a rare thing to witness from any business these days. After no luck with other businesses luckily they had some time free
that we could work with and with question I knew my dog was in safe hands.
Regular contact throughout, arranged meet prior to time scheduled to watch dog in order to check he would he ok, very nice and honest people. Myself and partner were very surprised just how friendly
and good they were.... Saved our holiday. -
Amazing Cat Sitters
Rod and Ann have been looking after our newly adopted cat for several months now. He was initially a shy rescue cat, but Finlay now loves Uncle Rod and Auntie Ann! They are always available to keep
an eye on our mischievous moggie when we're away for a long weekend or short break. They are so lovely with him and it is clear that they both genuinely love and care for other people's animals. They
even kindly suggested a better arrangement than what I had initially requested for his contact regime... which has worked about better for my cat and gave me more peace of mind.
Rod and Ann don't just pop in to feed our cat, they spend a length of time twice per day playing sqeaky-mouse with him on their visits, giving him belly rubs and cuddles, clearing up after him and
switching his cat flap setting so that he has free outdoor roaming in the day, and stays safe in the house at night.
I always worry about leaving our little fluff ball, but Rod and Ann always make me feel at ease with regular text updates and photos. I'm so happy that I found such wonderful people to look after our
cat!

Two lovely dog walkers who have been walking my crazy lab for a number of months now. They genuinely care about the well being of my dog and are always there with advice (like tonight when I was in a
panic over a stick stuck in doggys mouth). They are very flexible and always try to accommodate teddy- even at shirt notice. The funny updates and pictures from Rod of the Teddy chronicles always
make me laugh! I would highly recommend these two trust worthy and caring dog lovers.

Two great people.
Last year I needed someone to give my 12 year old black lab a stroll for about half an hour once a week, I came across Pet Buddies website and contacted Rob and Ann. They came to the house and met
Harvey and Ann suggested as he was an older dog she would take him out on his own, reassured by their relaxed manner around Harvey and the fuss they made of him I felt confident that he was in
excellent hands. Ann not only took Harvey for a walk but also sat and made a fuss of him until it was time for her to leave. Unfortunately though we lost Harvey in June of last year.
We now have Archie an 8 month old cream lab, needing someone to walk him I had no hesitation in contacting Rob and Ann again, I am very protective of who I would entrust my dogs care to but have no
hesitation at all when it comes to Rob and Ann, two amazing people who clearly have a total love of animals.

Company for Taz
Rod and Ann came to our rescue as we had just moved into the area and needed someone to look after our cat Taz whilst we were on holiday. Taz was still very nervous following the move and Rod and Ann
understood that he needed a bit of extra reassurance. Rod was very thorough and made sure he had all the information he needed before we went away. We left knowing that Taz was in good hands. We came
home to a very happy cat and we will certainly be using Rod and Ann's services again.

Milly's new best friend!
I was recommended Rod %26 Ann's services from another dog walker which I always think is great reflection of their services alone. Ann has been walking our Labrador, Milly here and there for a few
weeks now, including house sitting on a night away and Milly has definitely found a new best buddy. She loves Ann and really looks forward to her walks.

I have known Rod and Ann for a few years. I was initially introduced to Rod as he was recommended from a friend as a reliable dog walker. Subsequently Rod walked my lively Jack Russel for many years
and I was delighted because She loved and looked forward to seeing him everyday.
Rod and Ann have been very kind to my dog and Rod even walked holding her in his arms for a long way when she was poorly. Ann was very forgiving when Candy chewed her brand new red shoes that were
never worn!!

I cannot recommend Ann and Rod enough!! Both the care given to my dogs and the commintment shown to the job is outstanding. I have a demanding and changeable schedule and Ann is always more than
accomodating in my requests, however short the notice. The care and love to my dogs is exemplary and they treat them as if they are their own. They really do go above and beyond+1. Wouldn't hesitate

Ann and Rod recently looked after our 10 month old Bernese Mountain Dog, Lily, whilst we were on holiday for a week. Ann came to stay at the house, walking Lily during the day and keeping her company
at night. The house was left in tip top condition, with a loaf of bread and 2 pints of milk waiting for us on our return, which was a really lovely touch! I can't praise their service enough, because
it is great to go away with the confidence that Lily is possibly having an even better time than us. We have the text messages and photos to prove this. Ann and Rod you offer a first class service,

Our cat Belle
New to the area we needed someone to look after our indoor cat Belle. As we don't know anyone, we were reliant on the Internet. As you can imagine, we were very nervous about leaving Belle and having
strangers come into our house. However, Ann's visit put our minds at rest. She instantly had a bond with Belle and made notes on our requirements. Once we were away, Ann sent me photos of Belle and
an update on her and I really felt assured. The litter was immaculate on our return and Belle was really happy. I'm so pleased that we found Ann and Rod as we will always use them in the future. It's
so much better than a cattery and their service is second to none. Thanks so much for looking after Belle. X

House sitting
I can't praise Road and Ann enough, they house sat for my 2 dogs and 5 cats, and also fed my daughter's 6 cats. Mollie and Barney and the cat crew loved their time with Ann, it was such a relief to
know they were in such caring hands! I'm sure that Oscar misses his massage sessions. I would definitely recommend and would never think of calling anyone else should we go on holiday again.

Walking our dog at very short notice!!
I phoned rod at very short notice as somebody had told me he was very good and would help if he could.he came and walked our dog and I only gave him less than 24hours notice.he texted me after the
walk to tell me all was okay which made my day more relaxed knowing all was well.he is very friendly and our dog really likes him and wouldn't leave him alone!!we will definitely be using him again
not only to walk her but to stay at our house when we go on holiday. So glad we have found someone we can trust !! That's hard to do nowadays.many thanks ..

Dog walking
Rod has been walking our two big dogs every time we go away or have long days out for over a year now. He's lovely and friendly, completely reliable (he has my keys in case of emergencies!) very
flexible and I trust him completely with my house and dogs. It's been a huge relief to know we can call on him at short notice a couple of times and if he can possibly fit us in he will. Thanks Rod!

Pet sitting and dog walking
Rod has been our top choice for pet sitting for our family for quite a few years.
At one point we had 3 cats, 1 hamster, fish, 2 royal pythons and an African Pygmy hedgehog. He took this on with out any worry. He comes and chats to you for a good while to learn about the animals,
he gave my elderly cat his pain medication without any concern.
I will tell you about my parents dog scout. He is a crazy spaniel that Rod has walked for quite a few years. I was still at home pre getting married and had worked a night shift, I was sleeping and
rod didn't know I was home. He has a key to just come in and get scout for his walk. The way he was chatting to him was lovely, being he didn't know I was there I feel his love of animals is so
genuine. Scout totally adores him. Highly recommended.

Staying With Confidence.
I'd like to take a min or two, just to write some words of confidence in the service we received from Rod, Your Pets Best Buddy.
The Tail starts from a meeting with Rod after a couple of fact finding phone calls, which I found Rod by just a simple search online. We were going to send our Dog to Kennels, thinking that was the
best solution. However this was only the beginning of this journey.
The meeting was arranged and when Rod arrived our dog as soon as Rod come through the door Ollie our Dog went to him and Rod cuddled Ollie even though he had never seen our Dog and they formed a
friendship there and then. We talked the talk about arrangements so on and so forth. Rod then took Ollie out to have a walk, (free of charge) said that Ollie was fine and Rod would look after him.
However we did talk about previous dogs we owned and I told him about my other Dog who recently passed away due to Cancer, admittedly this was difficult to say, Rod was great and listened to me
whilst I said of my former Dog's Trouble with Cancer, he was called Toby my former Dog. So Rod told us of a website RainbowBridge (Fantastic site.) Rod then left, I felt that Rod was being honest and
as a mark of honesty he had a Policing Authority Certificate for safety.
So after another call Rod reassured us of a few things and we knew already Rod to be trustworthy and honest.
We went to my Wife's Graduation my Wife and I knew we had nothing to worry about, as we knew Ollie to be in loving hands. We got a text the day after to say Ollie was absolutely fine and he was very
well behaved. We knew he would have been. On coming back Ollie greeted us with joy and Rod explained what he did and what Ollie and him got up to. Rod also advised us on something we had difficulty
with and will try these things out on Ollie.
So as you'll get from this, Rod doesn't just do the basic level of Dog Care, he goes beyond the element of basic and gives the Dog all the love that we as owners would. As from our point of view we
are glad we decided to go with Rod, because a Kennel would of been a cold, unhappy place for our Dog. For about the same money, you can hire Rod to come over to your home with your Dog in his or her
home environment - and any other pets you have and he will look after all of them and do it with love and care. "Hey Doesn't that beat a Cold Kennel."
I am definitely Staying With Confidence in Rod and he can look after Ollie and his other pet family members here in our home.
Rod made our going away easy and he can do it again and this would be the same for you.

Isabel has a new friend...
Isabel is a very sensitive and picky bearded collie, amazing that she liked Rod from the first moment she met him and even went for a walk with him although I was at home... Since then Rod is taking
care of Isabel whenever I am on day shift and I always find a content and tired dog waiting for me when I come home. I am so happy I found Rod as he is a very reliable, caring and experienced dog
walker and Isabel loves him!!!...

Harvey daily walk...
Recently went away for 3 weeks and our dogs stayed with mother-in-law. Harvey is to strong for her, so we asked Rod to give him a daily walk so we knew he was getting some exercise. Rod visited (with
his wife?) and was very thorough about making sure he was happy to walk Harvey, we were happy for him to walk Harvey and more importantly, that Harvey was happy for Rod to walk him.
He showed us all his insurance paperwork and made notes, then took Harvey for a test run, and all was well.
The walks went well and Harvey was fine.
We have already booked Rods services for February!

Dog sitting
We booked our wedding at the Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe and immediately started to look for someone who could take care of our dog, Bailey, on the 'big day'. (All of our regular dog sitters were,
of course, going to be in attendance!) We found Rod through an internet search and contacted him, via email, to see if he could help us. Bailey was allowed to attend the wedding up until the food was
served so we needed someone to collect him from the venue and take care of him for the rest of the day and night. We spoke to Rod over the phone to discuss the arrangements and he was great from the
beginning. Brilliant communication, very clear about what he could do and how much it would cost. We live in Lancashire, so it wasn't possible to meet Rod before booking him. As I'm sure you can
imagine,it was unsettling to be leaving our boy with someone we had never met so we arranged to meet him a couple of days befor the wedding. After having met Rod, our minds were totally put at ease.
We had a wonderful time on our wedding day and we knew we didn't have to worry about Bailey. Rod also kept us informed on the day, via a couple of text messages, to let us know how Bailey was getting
on. Rod took him out for a couple of walks and, it seems, Bailey spent the rest of the time asleep and snoring at our holiday cottage : )

House Sitting for 4 days
Ann and Rod came to assess our house and animals. They were friendly, professional and caring...thank goodness they were happy to house sit Willow (our dog), Mackeral (the cat) and Pepper and Blossom
(Anouska's 2 pygmy goats). We are sure that all the animals have had a wonderful holiday too! Anne stayed over and has been like a fairy godmother living in our house! The runner beans staked up when
they were falling over, the goats' shed mucked out, the house wonderfully clean and tidy, the animals receiving daily massages! Coming home on the evening of the 5th day, you could sense how the
animals were relaxed and content. None of the stress of picking them up from dog sitters/catteries and having to settle them back in whilst unpacking bags! Ann and Rod provide a fantastic service; we
will be delighted to have them stay again when we are next away. Thank you so much.

Kali and Skye
I first met Rod walking some dogs in our local park a few years ago. I had heard he was a dog walker so I chatted to him about dog walking. At that point I still wasn't sure I would have anyone
walking our two precious dogs! But I took his card. Kali also has a tendency to bark at men and not many people can get through the door without a lot of growling and barking from her. To cut a long
story short something came up and I needed someone to look after Kali and Skye. Rod came around to meet the dogs, both dogs loved him and Kali didn't bark! Rod was very professional, checked their
paper work, took notes on what the dogs do and don't like and gave them a trial walk. They all came home happily enough. Rods now been walking the dogs on and off for sometime now, I really think the
dogs have a great time with him, they always seem happy and rested when we get home, and if their really lucky they get to visit Branham Rods dog. Excellent service, dogs and owners very happy. It's
wonderful to be able to have a day out and know they are safe!

Dog sitting
Rod looked after my Parsons Russell terrier, Bounce, for me whilst I was away for 2 days. His pre- assessment was comprehensive and professional, he updated me regularly throughout my absence giving
me a great peace of mind. Bounce obviously had a marvellous time meeting Rod's other doggy friends and when I got back she was a very happy, relaxed girl and the house was beautifully clean and tidy.
Rod is obviously a real dog lover and his caring and professional service is second to none. :-) :-) :-)

Small animal care
A huge Thank You to Rod %26 Ann for taking care of all of our animals whilst we were away on holiday for two weeks.
It was lovely to be able to go away and feel so confident that our animals would be in safe hands.
From our chinchilla, down to our large collection of guinea pigs, they were all catered for and well looked after and at a very reasonable price too.
Highly recommended and will be using this service again next year.

Dog Sitting
I have just arrived home after a week in Bideford Devon with my family and my dog. As we wanted to go out to places like 'The Milkyway' %26 'The Big Sheep' where it is not really dog friendly I
looked on the internet for a dog sitter and thankfully found this site. I only emailed Rod the night before I went to Devon and was called back the following day and found Rod so accommodating as I
was last minute in asking for a dog sitter. Rod's partner Anne came to our holiday home and looked after my 12 yrs old Jack Russell, the moment Anne came into the house my dog Stella warmed to her
instantly. Stella was walked and cared for for 2 full days and I felt totally relaxed knowing she was in good hands; I even got a text during the day like Stella had sent it. The rates are extremely
reasonable and I would recommend this company and definitely be using them again on my next Devon holiday.... Thank you so much Anne you was a life saver.... Xx

Rod is an amazing find! Our jack russell cant cope with Kennels so at extremely short notice Rod put himself out to help us by coming into our home and taking care of her in her own environment.
Poppy was so well cared for and given more attention then we are able to I actually think she is pining for him! We had messages to reassure all was well whilst we were away. Fantastic service. I
havent met Ann but sure she has the same caring qualities. Brilliant!

Rod's the best.
Rod's been walking and sitting our dogs for a few years now and we could not be more pleased with his service. One of our dogs, Barney, is a St Bernard and a big one, the other a female Rottweiler
named Titch. They can be a handful and are quite strong but Rod has never had a problem with them. I wish I could say the same. After the recent prolonged wet spell turned the fields into mud bowls
he would make sure to wipe the dog's feet before letting them enter the house. We never asked him to do that and it was much appreciated. I recommend him unconditionally to any dog custodian.

Dog sitting service
Huge heartfelt thanks to Rod %26 Ann for caring for our 19mth old working cocker a few days ago. Initial response and all ensuing communication was nothing but helpful, professional and friendly.
With a young lively dog needing company and to have an eye kept on him while we attended a function as visitors to the area, this service was perfect. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves, and
we viewed their VERY reasonable fee as "insurance" against the alternative of refunding an expensive hotel for some potential doorframe damage! Very caring, even down to showing us photo's of what
our dog had been up to while we were out! Brilliant dog carers in north Devon and so pleased we've found them (we contacted 3 advertising in the Barnstaple area as the requirement was fairly short
notice, one texted a response saying they were unavailable %26 couldn't suggest anyone else - despite Rod %26 Ann being local, and the other failed to respond to both phone and website
enquiries).
Well done you two, great service.

House and dog sitting
Rod and Ann looked after our ageing Labrador very supportively last weekend. They were professional and very caring from first contact when they made sure they had all the right information to enable
them to look after not only our dog but also our house. It was wonderful having the peace of mind that he was well looked after and we could therefore relax and enjoy ourselves.
We were sent regular updates about how he was getting on and this helped a lot.
When we returned our dog was very calm and content and our home had clearly been well looked after.
We will certainly be using their services again and just hope that they will be able to fit us in!

Fantastic service, well above and beyond all expectations
Honestly it’s impossible to give Rod %26 Ann the praise they deserve but believe me they made a difficult situation not only bearable, but turned it into an enjoyable meeting of minds.
When recently my father died we were left with the difficult situation of finding someone to look after our three challenging dogs whilst we attended his funeral.
Not too much of a problem you’d imagine and normally you’d be right, we’d just have left the dogs at home for a few hours. However, my father’s funeral was in Devon and since we live in London this
was not an option. To date we had never left our dogs with anyone before –and as it happened this was not even an option as our dogs did not have kennel cough vaccinations.
Now it may seem odd to non-dog owners but we have never ever found anyone we could entrust with our pack.
However, thanks to my father's death suddenly we found ourselves in this very stressful situation, and having this option thrust upon us.
Now it’s not as if the day wasn’t challenging and emotional enough without having this extra pressure to deal with.
That’s when Rod and Ann rode to the rescue; taking three dogs they’d never met in for the day.
It was a fantastic service, well above and beyond all expectations.
Not only did they save the day but they were genuinely charming and friendly. They really are genuine pet lovers and ones to trust. Thanks again Andy and Gretel

walking my dogs max and misty
rod, what can I say. You came twice a week to walk max and misty our two jack russells while I was heavily pregnant and struggling to do it myself.
You arranged this at short notice into your daily routine. You were always patient with misty who isn't good at not being with me! And helped with max who could take time to accept other dogs.
You were always professional yet friendly and obviously love what you do.
It was always a pleasure to meet other dogs that you walked with them as well.
We can't thank you enough. And hope that if the time ever comes again that we could do with a hand that you would be happy to fill the role again.

Harry - Border Terrier
Rod has looked after Harry our hooligan of a border terrier, for the past two years, walking him three times a week.
Rod has been fantastic coming in at short notice if my shifts changed and walking Harry around my odd shift pattern to ensure he was never left alone for long periods and feeding him if I was working
late!
Both Rod and his wife Anne came out to help me find Harry when he went missing one morning which was extremely kind of them.
Harry and my family can highly recommend Rod! We are now in Holland and Harry is missing his buddy!!

Mikey - lurcher with seperation anxiety
Rod has been a amazing for us. He has not only looked after our dog, walked him, helped with seperation anxiety training and been(along with Brannam) his friend, he's given us back our lives.
